Lost In Forks Game FAQ, Hints and Easter Eggs
We recently did a post with hints on how to solve the Lost In Forks game by Volvo. In it we outlined some additional features and insight that many players weren’t quite aware of. The success of the post has lead to nearly 7,000 visitors and 114 comments at the time of this writing and we couldn’t be happier. We love that so many Twilight fans are reaching out to help each other through the Where Is Edward Cullen site, even if we did have a few jokers show up and try and spoil it.
That being said I thought I’d take a little time to answers some of the most frequently asked questions in the comments and give some answers that I don’t feel will be too revealing to the solution of the puzzle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can someone just tell me how to do it?
No. However, I am considering revealing the solution just before the game deadline, but I haven’t yet decided yet. What are your thoughts? Will you hate me if I do it? Those of you who REALLY want us can hit us up on the contact form and we’ll send you the answer.
What is a tickertape?
The tickertape is the strand of streaming questions and information that trails along the bottom of the screen. There has been some debate on the compatibility of this feature in different web browsers. I have only been able to get this to work in Internet Explorer.
Where are the footprints?
Where is the mailbox?
There have been a handful of other questions that we simply don’t have the answer to, such as “Where are the 3 forks?” and “Where is Bella’s backpack?”

Lost In Forks Easter Eggs
Below is a collection of all of the Lost in Forks easter eggs I could find. I’m pretty sure these are all of them since I haven’t heard of any others mentioned.
This Lost In Forks easter egg gives you some insight into newborn vampires and a newborns wallpaper.
Find Riley's missing poster and turn left to find Bella's house. Sneak into her bedroom to watch a scene from Eclipse with her and Edward discussing her transition as a vampire.
Nothing to see here...unless you like a quick video of a passionate kiss between Edward and Bella in front of Jacob oh yeah, and a Jacob and Bella Wallpaper

i agree with 11 being the shortest route… i mapped it all out also and i can’t figure out any other shorter way…

Yeah, I’ve heard that a few people got it in 10 (or 3????) but I’m fairly certain that 11 is the shortest. My Mom and I have spent HOURS trying to find the shortest way, and 11 is what we’ve come up with. Does anyone else feel like sometimes the paths change?

11 seems to be it. I’ve yet to see proof of there being a shorter way. I’ve played since the contest started, and haven’t found anything.

You do see the 3 forks in the second picture, near the right tree. Its higher up and is clearly written in light green, “3″

According to the Visitor Center there’s an easter egg at Jacob’s house. I’ve gone down every fork in the game. Where is Jacob’s house?

I believe that it’s Bella’s backpack to the left, hidden behind a bush that moves away (ever so slightly) when moused over, on the fork where there’s a gravel road to the left and a road to the right. You should be able to hear a wolf howling.
If you go left from this fork, you get to the footprint fork.
If you instead go right, then you go to highway 101.

Still haven’t found the treaty and I’m making the assumption that it’s Jacob’s house where the police car is since I can’t find it anywhere else.
Found the Cullen’s house in 11 forks just like everyone else and doubt if there’s a shorter route, but like everything else in life I guess it is possible.

I believe the red thing in the bush is Bellas shirt that got stolen. Isnt Jacobs house red so that cant be Jacobs house by the police car. And everyone keeps assuming that the car on the road is Bellas but it isnt Bellas car is at the restaurant and her car does not have a confederate flag on it. You should see the movie to figure these things out it will help answer all your questions.

11 for me, too. I’, thinking that the second round probably will have a LOT of participants unless there really was a secret passage (which, despite long waits and repeated visits I have not seen… no “hand” coming up on MY screens…).
Maybe it’s taking longer than expected to get the emails out.

For all the people saying they did it in less then 11 folks is feeding everyone a bunch of carp. I did it in 11 that is the shortest route. And heres my congrates letter to prove it.

Phew! I just completed my turn through Forks….absolutely hilarious!!! (and those that figure it out will understand why)
I did it in under a minute…(I wasnt timing myself, and it felt longer, but really it had to be 60 seconds or under)
Cant wait till the 15th to find out who wins!

I actually mapped out by hand all the fork options and deduced 11 was the shortest, and I turned out to be right!
I really need a car. I have never had one and desperately need one when I go off to college.

Im sure they will beginto narrow it down starting with who answers the questions correctly, then by the fastest time. If there are tie-breakers they (Volvo) will email you asking for an essay.

I finished quick as well but got a lil hung up at the part where you enter in your info (which does count in the amount of time it takes for people who dont know)My son ripped the keys off laptop
I never cheated and spent two hours on the 1st phase before I got it in 11, I hope the person who wins the car will be someone who truly deserves and needs it!

… sorry tiffany but i think beth is right. but either way it said the winner needs fastest time and all questions right its in the rules. to jacqueline i happened to have my e-mail on copy and only had to paste and tab it to paste again and my first and last name are pretty short so it took me less than 5 seconds… i also took typing classes for three yrs so i am a pretty ffast typer
