Twilight Summer School
When I was in high school summer school was something to dread. It meant that you effed up at some point during the year and had to make it up in the summer or you’d be hosed when it came to your graduation. It was hot, miserable, and usually included a number of rival schools from the area which would result in feuds, fights, and the like. Overall, just not a good time.
However; that’s apparently not the case everywhere. The Roanoke Times is reporting that Virginia’s Montgomery County schools offer summer enrichment classes, and this year one of them revolves around Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight books. While students can choose from other courses like podcasting, cooking, chess, and origami, the new course will open students up to discussing the Twilight Saga and it’s characters.
I will say this…Any guy in Montgomery County that takes this course is probably guaranteed at least one, if not many, summer flings. Spending a day in a classroom full of teenage girls discussing the likes of Edward Cullen is sure to score you at least a handful of brownie points with the ladies. If there are any guys from Montgomery County reading this tell your parents to dish out the $35 for the course and enjoy your summer!
