New New Moon Images

Summit has released three beautiful New Moon images.

Thank fricken goodness for this poster. Seriously, the last couple of days the trickle of Edward and Bella images has been a godsend. New Moon looks amazing, please don’t get me wrong, but just like reading New Moon, it’s a trial. I really do enjoy Jacob, and when I read New Moon for the second time I even ENJOYED the part without Edward. For what it was (I mean, obviously I knew how it ended).

But I’ve spoken before about just how difficult it is to actually SEE it all happening. I literally get a small spark of anger seeing Bella in Jacob’s arms rather than Edward’s. And there’s just so MUCH Jacob. When I read New Moon I had to put up with the lack of Edward for a matter of hours while I anxiously read it. It’s been weeks, months even. Sure, the Meet Jacob Black Trailer gave us a hell of a glimpse that that beautiful kiss – but it was just enough to leave Team Edward longing for more.

Now this image – this is exactly what I wanted to see. This is what Edward and Bella are to me. You can see Bella’s total comfort and a sense of rightness the way she fits against him. And Edward – Edward radiates that fierce protectiveness that’s just so – them.

I really hope they make this a poster. Because let me tell you about THE BET. The boys in my office made the idiotic (in my always humble opinion) bet that 2012 would do more business than New Moon on its opening weekend, 1 week prior to New Moon.

The Bet: Opening Weekend Box Office.

The stakes: If they win, I can’t talk about Twilight until the end of the year (1 month, approx). Which they know is damn near impossible so they added if they win and I talk about it, they get to take down ALL MY TWILIGHT STUFF from around the office. Which is considerable.

If I win I get to take down their Chuck Norris and Kobe Bryant Posters and replace them with Twilight related posters until the end of the year. They had to specify Twilight related because otherwise they know I would have put a poster of Rob up. Ha, serves them right.

Yea – if they make this into a poster, WHEN I win, guess what’s going right over Mario’s head, where he can look at it EVERY day?
