Entertainment Weekly Double Issue is Vampire-ific!

June 20th, 2009 by Mike

The June 26th double issue of Entertainment Weekly featuring Ryan Reynolds hasn’t hit newsstands yet, but we got our hands on it, and you’ll be excited to know it has a good dose of vampire goodness. Here’s a run down of some of the things you’ll find in the upcoming issue:

Bring On the Blood

The News+Notes section of Entertainment Weekly takes a look at the vampire craze sweeping Hollywood; from True Blood and New Moon to the vampire novels The Strain and The Vampire Diaries. The piece also features the infamous picture of Rob Pattinson being mobbed by fans on the set of Remember Me.

OK first I have to get a picture of Rob and I. Then I'll choke him out and he'll be mine for the taking...

The Cast of True Blood

Part of the ‘Summer Must List’, True Blood is the first show picked by EW for the television section and is dubbed a “Must Cult Fave”. The brief article features a page and a half cast photo that has a striking resemblance to the Vanity Fair photoshoot for Twilight.

Robert Pattinson and Friends

Falling into the Music ‘Must List’ of all places, Robert Pattinson, Bobby Long, Sam Bradley, and Marcus Foster all get some love from Entertainment Weekly. The brief article takes a look at how these 4 first connected, the experience with “Never Think” and the Twilight Soundtrack, and what the future may hold.

While I wouldn’t say that the issue has anything stellar to offer, it will at least give you a small vampire fix.

I have no problems with True Blood as I have yet to see it, but do the True Blood vampires really count as sexy?

At least – not in comparison to our vampires!

i was thinking the same thing Kristina.

I have no interest in seeing True Blood. I read the first two books of the series and although i enjoyed the first, the second was garbage and i’ve yet to read any other of Harris’s novels.

I don’t think i get HBO so i’ve never seen the show. I did see a clip of “Vampire Bill” telling Sookie that he loves her and the Southern accent drove me nuts.

and none of the vamps are hot in my opinion so no interest in the show
