Twilight Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg To Talk Vampires In Pop Culture

August 28th, 2010 by Mike

Beginning October 1st, New York City will play host to the 11th Annual New Yorker Festival.  The magazine’s 3 day festival will feature actors, musicians, authors, politicians, and filmmakers in a series of panels, workshops, interviews and readings.

“The Vampire Revival” is among the more anticipated panels and will feature horror author Stephen King and Twilight Saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg.  The panel will discuss vampires in pop culture, an industry which has grown into a $7 billion business.

In contrast Neil Gaiman will also be on hand, an author who spoke out against the vampire revival in an interview with Entertainment Weekly late last year.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on September 10 at noon EST.
