New Limited Edition Twilight Inspired Wine

July 8th, 2010 by Mike

About a year ago we did a handful of posts leading up to a day we declared “International Twilight Day“.  The day was chosen by the fact that it would have both an eclipse and a new moon on the same day, and of course every day has a breaking dawn and a twilight.  Many of the posts included Twilight recipes, Twilight drinking games, and even ideas for a night in with dinner and a movie, but now  we are finding out a year later that the folks at Olympic Cellars Winery are livening up the party even more with a limited edition Twilight inspired wine.

The Washington based winery released a Sparkling Twilight Syrah last year and though the batch was limited there are still bottles available for purchase.  Each bottle costs $35 and is described as having berry-fruit character with fresh flavors of raspberries, cherries and other red fruits.  The limited edition sparkling syrah was inspired by a mother and daughter from Scotland who had stopped at the winery during a tour of each of the Pacific Northwest regions mentioned in the Twilight novels.  You can read the full story of the wine here

So if you’re planning a Twilight themed get together or are planning on celebrating another “International Twilight Day” (July 11, 2010 will feature another new moon and eclipse on the same day), be sure to pick up a bottle of this limited edition wine before it’s too late!
