Twilight Candy Connection To Continue With New Moon
The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that candy maker Necco was sporting some ‘Twilight’ inspired treats at the 2009 All Candy Expo. Necco, the maker of the popular Valentine’s Day candy Sweethearts released a series of ‘Twilight’ themed candy hearts to celebrate the release of the Twilight DVD earlier this year, but apparently they are playing up their ‘Twilight’ connection with special shaped Sky Bars and will reportedly be releasing another series of ‘Twilight’ themed candy hearts for the premier of ‘New Moon’, the second film in the Twilight saga, which is due out in November.
While no further details were given, I am curious to know what special shapes they have in store for Sky Bar. Will we be seeing chocolate Edward’s, Bella’s, and Jacob’s on our store shelves later this year? Time will tell I guess. My biggest hope is that they improve the flavor of the ‘Twilight’ themed Sweethearts since the last batch was disgusting. The first series was tagged as “Forbidden Fruits” and featured the flavors Orange Obsession, Tempting Apple, Secret Strawberry, and Passion Fruit, all of which tasted terrible in my opinion.
What are your thoughts on Twilight themed candy? Did you try the special edition Sweethearts that came out earlier this year, did you like them? Do you think these Twilight treats will be a big hit, or just an obsessed fan’s novelty?

I have to admit. I loved the box so much I couldn’t bring myself to open it – so I bought another one and gave them to you and Audrey. LOL.

i didn’t try them, didn’t even see where i could buy them from.
i will say that “passion fruit” is a boring name considering that’s an actual fruit.
that’d be like having “exotic apple” “blushing blueberry” and “banana” … boring banana?
i have a bad feeling the chocolate will taste like crap
